No Kazakh nationals among terrorist recruiters detained in St. Petersburg - embassy
ASTANA. April 5 (Interfax) - No Kazakh citizens are among those six nationals of Central Asian republics detained in Russia's St. Petersburg on suspicion of complicity in terrorist activities, the Kazakh embassy to Russia said on its website.
"According to the latest information available to the Kazakh Consulate General in St. Petersburg, no Kazakh citizens are among those six nationals of Central Asian republics detained on suspicion of terrorist activities," the embassy said.
As reported, Russian special services detained in St. Petersburg six migrants from Central Asia who are suspected of recruiting people for Jabhat al-Nusra and Islamic State, the terrorist organizations outlawed in a number of countries, including Russia and Kazakhstan.
