Govt introduces changes to state program to develop shipbuilding
MOSCOW. April 5 (Interfax) - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed an order to introduce changes to the Federal Target Program developing the country's shipbuilding from 2013-2030, with the document published on the government's website.
The name of the signed document was changed to "Development of shipbuilding and technology for developing offshore fields from 2013-2030." The financing parameters were approved in accordance with the federal budget for 2017-2019.
In particular, the amount of budget financing for the period from 2017 to 2019 will total 30 billion rubles, with state financing for 2017 set at 10.2 billion rubles. The Industry and Trade Ministry will be the ministry in charge, with Russia's Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport and the Federal Fisheries Agency taking part.
The document notes that the implementation of the program will increase the production of civilian ships and sea technology at domestic shipbuilding and ship-repairing capacity and localize production in the shipbuilding industry to reach a level of 70%.
