Russian military deliver almost 5 tonnes of drinking water to Aleppo residents
HMEIMIM. April 19 (Interfax) - The Russian military have carried out four humanitarian operations in Syria over the past 24 hours to supply Aleppo city residents with 4.8 tonnes of bottled drinking water, the Russian center for reconciliation of the opposing sides in Syria said.
"Humanitarian aid has been delivered to 1,507 residents in the past 24 hours," the report said.
In addition, Russian planes airdropped 20.6 tonnes of humanitarian cargo (food) donated by the United Nations to the Syrian authorities in the Deir-ez-Zor area, the center said.
