Russian Foreign Ministry comes up with measures to counter revision of history for work in intl organizations, with foreign partners
MOSCOW. April 20 (Interfax) - The Russian Foreign Ministry has come up with a set of measures to counter revision of history and glorification of Nazism and neo-Nazism, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin said at a session of the Pobeda (Victory) Organising Committee.
The work of countering the re-writing of history, glorification of Nazism and propaganda of neo-Nazism should take place on a systemic basis, he said.
"The Russian Foreign Ministry has come up with a set of measures to optimize this work in international organizations and in bilateral relations," he said.
"We believe additional steps need to be taken to keep in the proper condition [the graves of] Russian and Soviet warriors abroad, including domestic and foreign organizations participation," Karasin said.
"The practice of issuing passports to military graves and publication of information on them on the Internet should continue," he said.
The Foreign Ministry "will make more active use of people's diplomacy connections" to achieve the tasks associated with countering the glorification of Nazism, Karasin said.
