SCAC buys 41% of SuperJet International from Italian partner for 1 euro - earnings report

MOSCOW. April 21 (Interfax) - Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company (SCAC) acquired 100% of shares in Wing Ned B.V., which owns 41% of shares in SuperJet International S.p.A. (SJI), at the end of March, SCAC said in its IFRS earnings report for 2016.

SCAC paid just 1 euro for the stake.

SJI is a joint venture between SCAC parent company PJSC Sukhoi Company and Italian Alenia Aermacchi, part of the Finmeccanica concern, engaged in the sale, customization and delivery of Sukhoi Superjet 100 passenger jets to major markets abroad.

Sukhoi initially had a 49% stake in SJI and Alenia Aermacchi had 51%. Alenia Aermacchi is the sole owner of Dutch-registered Wing Ned B.V., according to the SPARK-Interfax database.

It was reported earlier that Alenia Aermacchi sold its 5.53% stake in SCAC, which it held via Swiss-registered World Wings S.A.

SCAC was formed in 2000 to implement civil aircraft manufacturing projects, including development and production of the Sukhoi Superjet family of aircraft.
