LPR has info Kyiv preparing subversive acts on May 9
LUHANSK. May 5 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian armed forces jointly with foreign instructors are training sabotage and reconnaissance groups to undertake subversive actions in the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) during the Victory Day holidays, LPR People's Militia spokesman Andriy Marochko said.
"According to the data obtained from our informant in the headquarters of the 'Luhansk' separate tactical group in Starobelsk, in the vicinity of the Raihorodok populated locality in the responsibility zone of the 22nd separate motorized infantry battalion, which is a part of the 14th separate motorized infantry brigade under the command of U.S. instructor Jonathan Hugh, a group of up to 20 Ukrainian saboteurs have passed training to carry out subversive activity during the Victory Day holiday on May 9," Marochko told reporters on Friday.
Vital LPR infrastructure facilities will be the targets of subversive attacks by Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups, he said.
"In connection with this, I ask local residents to stay vigilant and calm, notice suspicious objects and people, especially on the days of mass gatherings during the holidays," Marochko said.
