DPR reports death of 6 people, injuries of over 20 in past week
DONETSK. May 6 (Interfax) - Six people were killed, another 24 were injured in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) over the past week, the DPR Defense Ministry said.
"Six people were killed in the Donetsk People's Republic from April 28 through May 5, 2017. Four servicemen of the republic, a civilian woman, who was killed in Dokuchayevsk on May 3, and a child, who was injured in the Nikishino village, are among them," the DPR human rights ombudsman's spokesperson told reporters on Saturday.
The remains of a Ukrainian serviceman, who was killed near Marynivka in 2014, were found a few days ago, he also said.
"Twenty-four people, including ten servicemen of the republic, six civilian women, eight civilian men, including a child, who was born in 2002, suffered injuries varying in the degree of severity in the Donetsk People's Republic from April 28 through May 5, 2017," the spokesperson said.
At the same time, the human rights ombudsman office has received two claims about several DPR citizens having been taken captive this week.
