Putin, Netanyahu confer on Middle East settlement process, Syria crisis - Kremlin
MOSCOW. May 10 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have discussed the Middle East settlement process and Syria in a phone call, the Kremlin said on Wednesday.
"Pressing matters of bilateral cooperation and the situation in the Middle East peace process and Syria crisis issues have been discussed," the Kremlin said.
The phone call was initiated by Israel, the Kremlin said.
"The Israeli prime minister cordially greeted Vladimir Putin and all Russian people on the occasion of the 72nd anniversary of the Great Victory. The parties underlined that Russia and Israel would continue to staunchly oppose revision of WWII results, the belittling of the Soviet Union's decisive contribution to the victory over Nazi Germany, and the denial of the Holocaust," the report said.
