Gas production starts at two West Nile Delta fields in Egypt - DEA
MOSCOW. May 11 (Interfax) - DEA, which is owned by Mikhail Fridman's LetterOne, said gas production has begun under the West Nile Delta (WND) project in Egypt that is being implemented with BP.
Production began ahead of schedule, on April 24, at the Taurus and Libra fields, DEA said. Nine wells have now been put into operation and production exceeds 700 million cubic meters of gas per day, which is also more than planned.
Another three fields under the project, Giza, Fayoum and Raven, are scheduled to go into operation in 2019.
