Lavrov gives Trump certain message from Putin - Peskov

MOSCOW. May 11 (Interfax) - Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov has confirmed that Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has conveyed a certain message from Russian President Vladimir Putin to his U.S. counterpart Donald Trump, without elaborating on whether the message was delivered orally or in writing.

"Certainly. Foreign Minister Lavrov's contacts followed up on the conversation that the two presidents recently had on the telephone," Peskov said when asked by Interfax whether Lavrov had passed any message from Putin to Trump at their meeting in the U.S.

When asked to comment on the media reports saying that Trump had received Lavrov at a request that Putin expressed in the telephone conversation with Trump, Peskov said: "I have already answered this question. The contacts followed up on the conversation that the two presidents had."
