Armenia's ruling party to sign coalition agreement with 'Dashnaktsutyun'
YEREVAN. May 11 (Interfax) - Armenia's ruling Republican Party, which is led by the country's president, and the Armenian Revolutionary Federation 'Dashnaktsutyun' will sign a coalition agreement for 2017-2022 on Thursday.
A source with knowledge of the situation told Interfax that the document would be signed at a ceremony at the Armenian president's residence.
Republican Party spokesman Eduard Sharmazanov told reporters earlier that the coalition agreement was ready and would be made public sometime soon.
The Republican Party and 'Dashnaktsutyun' currently have an agreement on coalition cooperation, under which 'Dashnaktsutyun' received three ministerial posts in Armenia's current government.
'Dashnaktsutyun' won 6.57% of the vote in Armenia's April 2 parliamentary election, becoming the fourth force to enter the country's parliament. The two parties have decided to sign a new agreement because a new Armenian government will be formed following the election.
