Putin: LNG prices not so important for Russian projects, all problems to be resolved with volumes

BEIJING. May 15 (Interfax) - Low prices for liquefied natural gas (LNG) on the world market are not fundamental for the implementation of Russian projects, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"We will produce LNG in collaboration [with China], and we will enter onto the markets of other countries rather confidently. You may or may not be aware of Gazprom chief Alexei Miller's report; Russia had 2.7 trillion cubic meters of gas reserves at Yamal alone and they have now grown to 4.2 trillion cubic meters of gas. This is generally speaking, global reserves in just one place," the president said at a press conference following a visit to China.

"As a result, we are calm in this respect, confident. Even prices don't particularly scare us in all honesty, as we will resolve all problems with volumes," Putin said.

"Work on the Power of Siberia is going according to plan. We have no disputes here on price, virtually everything is resolved," the Russian President said.
