CEO of Kazakhstan's Baiterek discusses cooperation with major Chinese financial institutions

ALMATY. May 16 (Interfax) - Baiterek National Holding CEO Yerbolat Dosayev attended the International Economic Forum "One Belt, One Way" in Beijing and discussed investment cooperation with the heads of major Chinese financial institutions and banks.

At a meeting with the Chairman of the Chinese Corporation for Insurance of Export and Credit (Sinosure) Wang Yi, the parties studied the prospects for insurance coverage of joint Kazakh-Chinese projects within the framework of the bilateral agreements with the corporation signed in 2015.

At a meeting with the president of the Silk Road Fund Wang Yanzhi, the parties talked about projects in renewable and green energy with the involvement of other international financial institutions.

Baiterek and the Supervisory Board of the China Chamber of Commerce and Industry discussed prospects for raising long-term financing for Kazakh-Chinese projects.

China National Machinery Import and Export Corporation (CMC) signed a road map to act as a strategic partner of Allur Group and participating in the National Champions programs.

China Triumph International and Orda Glass LLP signed a bilateral agreement providing for the construction of a sheet glass plant in the Kyzylorda region.

Dosayev also held talks with the President of China Development Bank Corporation Zheng Zhijie about the SCO Interbank Association and opening an additional credit line for supporting Kazakhstan's infrastructure development and exports.

During the meeting with the executive chairman of the Bank of China Tian Guoli, the parties discussed long-term investment cooperation including cross-border projects on the Silk Road Economic Belt.
