Russia again China's biggest oil supplier in April

BEIJING. May 23 (Interfax) - China cut imports of Russian oil 2% year-on-year in April 2017 to 4.72 million tonnes, according to data from China's General Administration of Customs.

Russia was still China's biggest oil supplier in April.

Chinese imports of Russian oil grew 0.6% in April compared with 4.69% in March.

Angola came second, boosting exports to China 15% year-on-year to 4.58 million tonnes in April. Imports from Angola totaled 4.67 million tonnes in March.

Saudi Arabia reduced exports to China 3.9% year-on-year to 3.96 million tonnes in April while the exports were down sharply from 4.55 million tonnes in March.

China also imported oil from Iraq and Oman in April.

China is the world's second largest oil importer after the United States. China increased total oil imports 5.6% to 34.39 million tonnes in April.
