Lukoil to honor decision, if reached, to extend oil cuts by 9 months - Alekperov

VIENNA. May 24 (Interfax) - Lukoil will fulfill a decision to reduce oil production if it is decided to prolong this by another nine months, company chief Vagit Alekperov told reporters.

"The Energy Ministry makes this decision, not individual companies, and if the ministry does decide on this, we will of course fulfill these decisions," he said.

The Lukoil chief also said that the issue of a possible reduction of oil output in Iraq would be discussed on Wednesday. Iraq is also participating in the agreement.
