Ukraine's NSDC did not consider termination of rail passenger traffic between Ukraine, Russia
KYIV. May 25 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) has not discussed the stopping of rail passenger traffic between Ukraine and Russia at its meeting, the NSDC said in reply to an Interfax inquiry.
"The stopping of rail passenger traffic with Russia was not discussed at the NSDC meeting," the Council said.
PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railway), the state monopoly entity regulating rail passenger traffic in Ukraine, has not made any decisions on stopping passenger traffic between Ukraine and Russia and has not received any instructions to this end from the authorities, a company spokesman told Interfax earlier on Thursday in commenting on Russian media reports saying that Ukraine planned to stop rail passenger traffic to and from Russia starting July 1.
