LPR accuses Kyiv of pulling weapons towards Donbas frontline

LUHANSK. May 25 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian armed forces are pulling artillery systems, tanks and multiple rocket launchers towards the Donbas contact line, spokesman for the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) militia Andrei Marochko said.

"Six tanks, two infantry fighting vehicles, and nine Grad multiple rocket launchers have been detected on the grounds of a train depot in Stanytsia Luhanska. The hardware was covered with tents, and access to it was limited," Marochko told reporters on Thursday.

Intelligence collected by the LPR militia indicates deployment of Ukrainian troops and weapons in civilian infrastructure and private homes, he said.

"Fifteen tanks, four Grad rocket launchers, 15 BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles, and six 152mm howitzers were seen in a deserted quarry in Malynove. The area of the Prince Ihor Monument is being shelled precisely from those positions," the militia spokesman said.

In general, tensions persist on the contact line, Marochko said, adding that the Ukrainian army had breached the truce three times over the previous 24 hours.

"A total of 47 mines and shells have been fired upon the republic's territory," he said.
