Leader of radicals in Ukrainian parliament calls for inquiry into Inter TV channel's Russian financing
KYIV. May 25 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Radical Party leader and Verkhovna Rada member Oleh Lyashko has proposed to the Ukrainian parliament to set up an interim commission to investigate the allegations of the Inter television channel's receiving Russian financing.
The relevant draft parliamentary resolution "On setting up of a provisional investigation commission of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine with a view to probing the facts of financing the Inter TV channel from the aggressor country, which threatens national security of Ukraine" was registered at the Verkhovna Rada under number 6511 on Thursday, May 25, the Ukrainian parliament said on its official website.
The draft resolution has been submitted for the leadership's consideration. As of 7:50 p.m. Thursday, this draft resolution's text was not accessible via the Ukrainian parliament's website.
