Russian, Slovenian leaders underscore importance of further promoting energy, economic ties - Kremlin

MOSCOW. May 26 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Slovenian counterpart Borut Pahor discussed ways to further promote cooperation between their countries in the energy, economy, transport and culture sectors during a recent phone call, the Kremlin press service said on Friday.

"The parties discussed the implementation of the agreements reached during the Russian president's visit to Slovenia in July 2016 and also during the Slovenian president's return visit to Russia in February of this year. They reiterated their interest in the further consistent development of bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, energy, transport, cultural and humanitarian fields," the press service said.

The presidents also exchanged greetings on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Slovenia on May 25, 1992, it said.
