MOSCOW. May 31 (Interfax) - Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak has proposed developing new principles of mutual relations between OPEC and non-OPEC countries after the deal to cut oil output expires.
Novak made the statement during energy talks between Russia and OPEC.
"On the whole, cooperation between Russia and OPEC in the last few years has been highly dynamic and intense. We aim to maintain the strategic character of our cooperation and deepen it for the period ahead. In this regard, additional opportunities are opening up from the positive experience of joint actions," the minister said, opening up the meeting.
"We also need to develop new framework principles to continue robust long-term cooperation between OPEC and non-OPEC even after the existing Vienna agreements expire," he said
