Russia, Zambia lay groundwork for military-technical cooperation - Lavrov

MOSCOW. May 31 (Interfax) - Russia and Zambia have reached an agreement to promote military-technical cooperation, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"Another important document, an intergovernmental agreement on military-technical cooperation, was signed last month. We have achievements here, too, which will be put into practice," Lavrov said following negotiations with Zambian Foreign Minister Harry Kalaba.

The two foreign ministers reaffirmed commitment to "increasing trade-economic, humanitarian, cultural and education exchanges", Lavrov said.
