State armament program expected to be approved in December - Rogozin
STRELNA. June 1 (Interfax) - Russia's state armament program for 2018-2025 will be approved at the end of this year, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said.
"We should be able to reach the relevant government decision in December," Rogozin said.
The military-industrial commission received a draft of the program two days ago, Rogozin said.
"By this September we must thoroughly examine every piece of it: all shipments, all complicated contracts, all branches of the armed forces, recount it, set out our remarks, and then submit this to the president," Rogozin said.
"In September we are planning to submit the draft state armament program for 2018-2025 to the head of state who, in turn, may also introduce some changes," Rogozin said.
