Mongolian president in meeting with Putin calls Russian-Mongolian relations good

ASTANA. June 9 (Interfax) - Mongolian President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin in Russian about the relations between Moscow and Ulaanbaatar, pointing out their economic component.

"[We have] good relations with Russia, good investment from Russia," Elbegdorj said while meeting with Putin on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Astana.

The Mongolian leader said relations with Russia are the most important issue on the Mongolian international agenda.

Putin, for his part, said he was happy to meet with his Mongolian counterpart.
