Inflation in Belarus totals 2.7% in 5M 2017
MINSK. June 9 (Interfax) - Inflation in Belarus totaled 0.3% in May 2017 and 2.7% in January-May 2017, the National Statistics Committee (Belstat) said in a statement.
Food prices grew 0.6% in May in comparison with April and were up 3% since the start of the year.
Non-food prices declined 0.2% in May and 1.1% in 5M 2017. According to Belstat, prices for paid services grew 0.3% and 4.4% respectively.
Inflation in Belarus in 2016 totaled 10.6% instead of the forecast 12%. According to the country's socio-economic development forecast for 2017, inflation will not exceed 9% this year.
