Russia's broad monetary base shrinks 1.5% in May - Central Bank

MOSCOW. June 14 (Interfax) - Russia's broad monetary base shrank 1.5% to 11.396 trillion rubles in May 2017 from 11.570 trillion rubles at the beginning of the month, Russia's Central Bank said on its website.

The base declined by 4.1% in January-May, from 11.883 trillion rubles at the beginning of the year. It was 6.4% narrower compared with 10.708 trillion rubles as of June 1, 2016.
