Fortum awarded 1 GW in wind power tender, Enel Russia - 291 MW

MOSCOW. June 14 (Interfax) - PJSC Fortum has been awarded rights to build 1 gigawatt of wind farm capacity in a Russian government tender on construction of renewable energy generating facilities, according to the results of the selection announced by JSC Trading System Administrator.

The company will build two 25 MW facilities to be commissioned in 2018 (by December 1) and four 50 MW to be added in 2019. The biggest additions will take place in 2020, when Fortum will complete facilities with 18 MW, 32 MW, 16.8 MW, 33.2 MW and 50 MW of capacity. The capacity will be located in Rostov region (300 MW), Krasnodar territory (150 MW), Stavropol territory (64 MW), Ulyanovsk region (236 MW), Tatarstan (100 MW) and Murmansk region (150 MW).

PJSC Enel Russia , which took part in the selection for the first time, will build 291.06 MW of wind capacity, including 90.09 MW at the Azov-5 wind farm in Rostov region and 200.97 MW in Murmansk region. The facilities must be commissioned by December 1, 2020 and December 1, 2021 respectively. Construction of the facilities will cost about 405 million euro.

VetroOGK, a subsidiary of the Rosatom state corporation, was awarded projects totaling 360 MW, including 100 MW in Adygea, 220 MW in Krasnodar territory and 40 MW in Kurgan region.
