Russia to host Slavic Brotherhood drills in 2018
MINSK. June 15 (Interfax) - The Slavic Brotherhood-2018 joint Belarusian-Russian-Serbian tactical exercise will be held in Russia, Vadim Denisenko, commander of the Belarusian Armed Forces' special operations forces, said.
"Representatives of Russia studied everything carefully [during the recent Slavic Brotherhood-2017 drills at the Brestsky training range]. Let's see what they will offer the partners in 2018. We will hold the next drills in Russia. I think they will host them commendably," Denisenko was quoted as saying on Thursday by the BelTA news agency.
"We are pleased that Slavic Brotherhood has become a tradition," he said.
"One can tell by the amount of allocated forces and funds, the level of training, that the Defense Ministries of the three states treat the exercises very seriously," he said.
"We have been doing everything we can to help Slavic Brotherhood become stronger and further develop in all avenues. We are only one of the parts that functions within the military component," Denisenko said.
