Three civilians killed in shellings in DPR in past week - ombudsman's office

DONETSK. June 16 (Interfax) - A total of six people were killed and over 20 people were wounded in hostilities in the unrecognized Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in the past week, a representative of the DPR ombudsman's office said.

"A total of six people, including three DPR servicemen, and one man and two women among civilians, were killed in the DPR in the period from June 10 to June 15, 2017. Two civilians were killed in an artillery shelling of Donetsk on June 12, and another woman was killed in a sniper fire in Sakhanka," the representative of the DPR ombudsman office told reporters on Friday.

Twenty-one people were wounded in shellings in the same period, the representative said.

"A total of 21 people, including 12 servicemen, and three women and six men among civilians, sustained wounds of varying degrees of severity as a result of Ukraine's armed aggression in the DPR on June 10-15, 2017," the representative said.
