Kazakhstan awaiting Syrian authorities', opposition's reply to invitation to 5th round of Syria talks in Astana
ASTANA. June 20 (Interfax) - The Kazakh Foreign Ministry has forwarded invitations to the Syria truce guarantor countries, the Syrian government and representatives of the Syrian opposition and the observers to attend the fifth round of the talks on Syria in Astana, Kazakhstan's Deputy Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tileuberdi said.
"We are expecting representatives of the Foreign Ministries of the guarantor countries. The invitations have been sent to all of the participants, the government of Syria and the Syrian armed opposition," Tileuberdi told reporters on Tuesday.
In addition to that, invitations have also been sent to the observers, namely Jordan, the United States and the United Nations, he said.
"We are waiting for their response," Tileuberdi said.
