Patrushev, Myanmar armed forces commander discuss security cooperation prospects
MOSCOW. June 20 (Interfax) - Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev has discussed bilateral security cooperation with Myanmar Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Min Aung Hlaing, a spokesman for the Russian Security Council told Interfax on Tuesday.
"Nikolai Patrushev and Min Aung Hlaing have discussed prospects of Russian-Myanmar interaction in the security field," the spokesman said.
Interfax reported on June 19 that Russia and Myanmar were planning to sign an agreement facilitating port calls of military ships. The draft had been approved by the Russian government, and a resolution to the effect was published on the official legal information portal on Monday.
