Wage arrears in Russia fall 13.4% in May - Rosstat

MOSCOW. June 20 (Interfax) - Wage arrears in Russia fell 13.4% or 517 million rubles in May to 3.331 billion rubles, the Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) said.

Around 69 million rubles of the May arrears were public sector wage arrears caused by delays with transferring budgeted funds, up 18 million rubles or 35.5% since the end of April.

Companies and organizations themselves were responsible for 3.262 billion rubles or 97.9% of the arrears, down 535 million rubles or 14.1% since the end of April.
