LPR not predicting date of another prisoner swap in Donbas
LUHANSK. June 23 (Interfax) - Vladislav Deinego, the envoy of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) to the Minsk negotiations, refrained from predicting the next date of prisoner swap between the Donbas republics' militias and the Ukrainian side.
"Agreeing on swaps is a very delicate issue, very sensitive to an external resonance. And if I say that these swaps take place in the near future, it means you and me should be confident that they wouldn't take place in the near future for that very reason," Deinego told reporters on Friday.
Luhansk does not want to make any "predictions and estimations" on the date of the next prisoner swap in Donbas, he said.
"One must speak about such things only upon completion," Deinego said.
"I prefer we would speak that we had held some swaps as often as possible instead of making some predictions on the prospects of agreeing on some dates and some numbers," he said.
