DPR reports 10 ceasefire violations after 'bread truce' taken effect

DONETSK. June 24 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) has recorded ten violations of the 'bread truce' committed by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the DPR Defense Ministry said.

"Violations on their part were recorded. Tanks and 122mm artillery were even used [...]. A total of ten ceasefire violations were recorded since 12.00 a.m.," a representative of the DPR Defense Ministry told Interfax.

Ceasefire violations committed using small arms were recorder in virtually all sectors of the contact line after the 'bread truce' had entered into force, the representative said. "Small arms were used in all sectors," the representative said.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces breached the ceasefire 50 times in the past 24 hours, the DPR Defense Ministry said. The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at the areas of the republic's 21 populated localities using artillery, tanks, mortars, infantry fighting vehicles, armored vehicles, grenade launchers, and small arms, the representative said.

A local resident was wounded in a shelling of Dokuchaievsk, she was admitted to hospital, the ministry's representative said.

In addition, two houses in Dokuchaievsk were damaged in a shelling, and the village of Vasylivka was cut off power due to the damage of a power line, the representative said.
