RusHydro decides not to sell power supply cos

MOSCOW. June 26 (Interfax) - RusHydro is not currently working on a deal to sell power supply companies, RusHydro CEO Nikolai Shulginov said at the annual shareholders meeting.

"There are no commercially appealing proposals so we are not working on this deal, instead we are raising the efficiency of the power supply companies' operations," he said responding to a question of the status of the sale of power supply companies belonging to the RusHydro Group; Chuvash and Ryazan Power Supply Companies, and others.

An Interfax source on the energy market had earlier said that RusHydro wanted to immediately sell two distributers, Ryazan and Chuvash; however, there was only interest from potential buyers for the Ryazan Power Distributing Company.
