Mechel's foreign creditors hire KPMG for talks on restructuring syndicated loan

MOSCOW. June 30 (Interfax) - Mechel and its foreign creditors have hired financial consultants for talks on restructuring a syndicated loan and the company hopes for a decision in the foreseeable future, Mechel CFO Sergei Rezontov said at the annual general meeting of shareholders.

The consultant for the banks is KPMG, he said.

"In order to conduct these talks, financial consultants have already been hired by the banks. This is KPMG. From our side attorneys have been hired. We hope that in the foreseeable future we can report information on the pace and results of those talks," Rezontov said.
