Ombudsman Moskalkova contacts her Ukrainian counterpart due to Russian citizen's detention in Donbas

KAZAN. June 30 (Interfax) - Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova said she is maintaining contact with Ukrainian ombudsman Valeria Lutkovska regarding the situation with the detention of Russian citizen Viktor Ageyev in the Luhansk region.

"I'm in constant contact with Valeria Lutkovska. I sent her a letter about the detained Russian citizen [Ageyev] yesterday," Moskalkova told reporters in Kazan on Friday.

A few media organizations reported earlier citing the 112 Ukraine television channel that several members of a subversive group from the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic that allegedly included Russian nationals had been detained in the Luhansk region.

The Russian Defense Ministry later denied the report by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) that Viktor Ageyev, who, according to the media, is a Russian serviceman, was captured in Ukraine's Luhansk.
