Russian oil exports to non-CIS countries up 3.9% in H1 2017
MOSCOW. July 3 (Interfax) - Russian oil exports to countries outside the CIS amounted to 120.912 million tonnes (4.897 million barrels a day) in January-June 2017, which is 3.9% more than in the same period in 2016, the Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex (CDU TEK) reported in a bulletin.
In analyzing this information, it should be taken into consideration that 2016 was a leap year and included one more day in February than February 2017.
In June 2017 alone, Russia exported 18.882 million tonnes of oil (4.614 million barrels a day), which is 0.5% more than in June 2016.
The amount of oil Russia shipped through the Transneft oil pipeline system to countries outside the CIS in the first six months of 2017 was 109.184 million tonnes (including 99.773 million tonnes of Russian oil) while 21.139 million tonnes were shipped outside the Transneft system.
In June alone, 16.906 million tonnes of oil (including 15.393 million tonnes of Russian oil) was shipped through the Transneft system and 3.489 million tonnes through other pipelines.
The amount of oil shipped through the port of Novorossiysk using the Transneft pipeline system in January-June 2017 stood at 11.184 million tonnes (1.944 million tonnes in June alone), through Primorsk 23.875 million tonnes (2.707 million tonnes), Kozmino 15.602 million tonnes (2.404 million tonnes), and Ust-Luga 12.292 million tonnes (2.198 million tonnes).
Rosneft exported 50.041 million tonnes of oil to countries outside the CIS through the Transneft system in January-June 2017 (8.254 million tonnes in June), Lukoil 11.208 million tonnes (1.394 million tonnes), Surgutneftegas 14.1 million tonnes (2.339 million tonnes), Gazprom Neft 5.688 million tonnes (0.571 million tonnes), Tatneft 7.682 million tonnes (1.079 million tonnes), and Bashneft 239,300 tonnes (0.0 tonnes).
It was reported earlier that Rosneft had bought a 50.0755% stake in Bashneft in mid-October 2016, but CDU TEK still cites the Bashneft data separately in its statistics.
Enterprises not belonging to vertically integrated oil companies shipped 9.067 million tonnes of oil outside the CIS via the Transneft system in January-June (1.478 million tonnes in June alone).
The amount of oil transported via Kazakhstan in the first half of 2017 was 7.869 million tonnes (1.221 million tonnes in June alone), via Azerbaijan 733,700 tonnes (159,800 tonnes), and via Belarus 807,500 tonnes (132,000 tonnes).
Russia's oil exports to CIS countries (Belarus) in January-July 2017 dropped by 21.7% to 8.999 million tonnes compared to the same period in 2016.
