KAZAN/MOSCOW. July 5 (Interfax) - Russia could export 37 million-38 million tonnes of grain in the 2017-2018 agriculture year which began in July, Russian Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachev told journalists.
Earlier he said that exports could total 35 million-37 million tonnes.
"I think the figure will be 37 million-38 million tonnes. We very much hope for this," he said.
The Agriculture Ministry is forecasting a grain harvest of 100 million-105 million tonnes in 2017.
Russia exported a record 35.5 million tonnes of grain, including 27.1 million tonnes of wheat, in the July 2016-June 2017 agricultural year, Tkachev said.
