Second explosion occurs in central Luhansk
LUHANSK. July 7 (Interfax) - A second explosion occurred in central Luhansk not far from the site of the first explosion on Friday, an Interfax correspondent has reported.
LPR law enforcement agencies told Interfax, citing tentative information, that a car had exploded. There is currently no precise information on casualties.
The State Security Ministry of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) has called on citizens to be vigilant due to the high level of terrorist threat in the republic.
"The LPR State Security Ministry is asking the republic's citizens not to leave their homes in the near future and not to create big crowds in public places due to the high level of terrorist threat," the LPR State Security Ministry said in a statement published on the website of the Luhansk Information Center.
"The State Security Ministry is asking residents: if any of you have seen suspicious people, we ask you to report that to the State Security Ministry," the report said.
LPR militia official Andrei Marochko said earlier on Friday that a medical service captain had been killed and another five civilians had been wounded in an explosion in the area of the House of Government in central Luhansk.
