Russian, German foreign ministers to meet in Berlin to discuss Ukraine, Syria, outcomes of G20 summit
MOSCOW. July 11 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will hold negotiations with German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel while visiting Berlin on July 12-13 to discuss Ukraine, Syria, the outcomes of the recent G20 summit, and some other subjects, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported on Tuesday.
Lavrov and Gabriel will also take part in the closing ceremony of the 2016-2017 Russian-German bilateral year of youth exchanges, it said.
During the negotiations, the ministers will continue "to share opinions on key international problems, including the implementation of the Minsk Agreements for settling the Ukraine crisis, progress in the peace process in Syria, European security, and efforts against international terrorism," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
Lavrov and Gabriel will also discuss the outcomes of the G20 summit in Hamburg on July 7-8, the current situation in Russian-German relations, and practical aspects of the bilateral agenda, it said.
