Over 170 wildfires raging in Russia's Far East

BLAGOVESHCHENSK. July 12 (Interfax) - No new wildfires broke out in the Russian Far East on Tuesday; however, more than 170 fires have kept on burning, the Far Eastern Federal District's forestry department said in a report.

As many as 173 forest fires were raging in the region on Wednesday morning, including 108 in Yakutia, 34 in the Amur region, 27 in the Khabarovsk territory (including two in nature conservancy areas), two in the Kamchatka territory, and one in each of the Sakhalin and Magadan regions.
