Gazprom gets access to ESPO pipeline for 2.3 mln tpy of Chayanda oil, but raises plateau to 3 mln t

MOSCOW. July 13 (Interfax) - Gazprom has signed a contract with LLC Transneft-Vostok to connect the oil production facilities of LLC Gazprom Dobycha Noyabrsk, the operator of the Chayanda oil and gas condensate field, to the Eastern Siberia - Pacific Ocean (ESPO) oil pipeline system.

The connection will be made at the ESPO pipeline's No. 11 (Peledui) oil pumping station. The pipeline will take in up to 2.313 million tonnes of oil per year. The pipeline operator can accept this amount of Gazprom oil without taking steps to increase the throughput capacity of Transneft's trunk oil pipelines.

The oil production plateau at Chayanda was announced as 2.3 million tonnes annually a year ago. However, last fall a new figure of 3 million tonnes of oil per year emerged in a memo for Gazprom Eurobonds.

Transneft's requirements for delivered oil are sulphur content of up to 0.81%, paraffin content up to 6% and water content up to 0.5%. The fee for the connection will be 4.9 million rubles. The contract is for a term of 36 months with an option to renew by decision of the parties.

Nine pilot production wells have been drilled on Chayanda's oil rim, the Gazprom in Figures bulletin reported. Work has been done on trial operation of the first well, and trial operation of the second well is underway. The company has finished filling roads and sites for field infrastructure, and is working on laying foundations and footings for facilities.
