Over 1,000 Russian guardsmen to ensure security at MAKS 2017
MOSCOW. July 13 (Interfax-AVN) - Servicemen of the Russian National Guard Troops will be assigned to ensure order and security at the MAKS 2017 international aerospace show, which will be held in Moscow region's Zhukovsky on July 18-23, the Russian Guard department for interaction with media and civil institutions told Interfax-AVN.
"Over 1,000 servicemen and employees of the Russian Guard will ensure security of participants and guests of the event along with police," the department said.
Servicemen of the separate operational division named after Dzerzhinsky, servicemen of special operations units, private security, state control and licensing units will be on alert at the Ramenskoye airfield of the Flight Research Institute named after M. M. Gromov and in the adjacent area.
Russian guardsmen will ensure high security of "facilities, which are subject to mandatory state protection and transport infrastructure facilities," the Russian Guard said.
