Power Machines general director set free after questioning - source

MOSCOW. July 14 (Interfax) - Power Machines General Director Roman Filippov has been set free after questioning in a state secret divulgence case, a knowledgeable source told Interfax.

"Filippov has been questioned in the state secret divulgence case and let go," the source said, adding that the top manager "had given relevant explanations."

"Filippov does not have a status in the proceeding for now," the source said.

Power Machines have earlier declined to comment on press reports on Filippov's detention.

"We make no comment on media reports regarding the detention of Filippov," a spokesman for Power Machines told Interfax on Thursday.

A source told Interfax that Russian security services had opened a criminal case on the counts of divulgence of a state secret. "A number of individuals, including Filippov, are being interacted with in the course of this proceeding," the source said.

Another source told Interfax that Filippov did not have a status in the proceeding so far. "It would be premature to speak about his detention," the source said.

Interfax has yet to obtain comments by law enforcement officers on this information.

Power Machines is a junior partner of Germany's Siemens conglomerate company in the Siemens Gas Turbine Technology joint venture.
