Emergency Situations Ministry's plane to transport CIS citizens from armed conflict zone in Yemen to Moscow on Wednesday
MOSCOW. July 18 (Interfax) - A Russian Emergency Situations Ministry plane has brought humanitarian aid to Yemen and will take aboard citizens of Russia and other CIS countries wishing to leave the conflict zone on the return trip, a ministry spokesman told Interfax.
"An Ilyushin Il-76 plane of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry has arrived in Sana'a airport to deliver over 20 tonnes of humanitarian aid: food and large tents," the spokesman said, adding that citizens of Russia and other CIS countries will board the plane on the way back to Moscow.
"These citizens are being registered in Sana'a Airport. The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry's Il-76 will soon depart for Moscow: it is due to land at Domodedovo Airport in the Moscow region on July 19," the ministry said.
The passengers will be accompanied by Centrospas medics and psychologists of the Emergency Situations Ministry's center for emergency psychological assistance.
