Four Ukrainian servicemen killed, another 3 injured in Donbas in past 24 hours - Kyiv

KYIV. July 20 (Interfax) - Militia forces have attacked the Ukrainian army's positions in Donbas 21 times in the past 24 hours, during which four Ukrainian servicemen have been killed and another three injured, the press center of the headquarters of Kyiv's military operation in south-eastern Ukraine said.

In the Luhansk sector, infantry fighting vehicle weapons were used against positions of the Ukrainian armed forces in Novozvanivka, grenade launchers and large-caliber machineguns were used in Novooleksandrivka, and small arms were fired in Stanytsia Luhanska. Three servicemen were killed and another three were injured when an unknown explosive device went off at around 6:00 p.m. near the village Novotoshkivske, the press center said on its Facebook account.

Ukrainian military positions came under grenade launcher fire in Vodyane and Hnutove in the Mariupol sector. In addition to that, Hnutove came under 82mm mortar fire at around 8 p.m.

Militia forces also fired grenade launchers and small arms on the outskirts of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian army positions in Pisky came under 120mm mortar fire at around 11 p.m., and infantry fighting vehicle weapons were used against Ukrainian positions in Luhanske.

In addition to that, the militia resumed strikes on residential areas in Mariynka at around 7 p.m., using large-caliber machineguns and also fired grenade launchers on the village of Zaitseve, the press center said.
