Russian Helicopters to deliver ten helicopters to China
ZHUKOVSKY (Moscow Region). July 20 (Interfax) - The Russian Helicopters holding and the United Helicopters International Group company have signed a series of contracts for the delivery of ten helicopters to China, the Russian holding's press service told Interfax.
"In accordance with the signed agreements, United Helicopters will receive five Ansat lightweight helicopters in a medical configuration, three [Mil] Mi-171 helicopters in a transport configuration and two [Kamov] Ka-32A11VS firefighting helicopters which will be subsequently supplied to operators in China," the press service said.
"The first batch of helicopters will be delivered to the customer at the end of 2017, and the contracts will be implemented in full in the middle of 2018," it said.
The first batch will include the Ka-32 helicopters, which will be used by Chinese companies in firefighting operations, including in complicated urban conditions with limited access to fire-stricken buildings, the press service said.
