MOSCOW. July 21 (Interfax) - Russian fighter jets have been scrambled seven times in the past week to intercept reconnaissance aircraft, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"On-duty air defense forces have flown seven missions to intercept [reconnaissance planes]. Any violations of Russia's airspace have been prevented," the ministry said in a weekly report on Friday.
