About 60 civilians killed in Donbas in 2017 - OSCE SMM principal deputy chief monitor
DONETSK. July 21 (Interfax) - Fifty-nine civilians have been killed and more than 260 injured in the conflict zone in Donbas in 2017, Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Special Monitoring Mission (OSCE SMM) in Ukraine Alexander Hug said at a press conference on Friday.
The number of civilian casualties is 50% higher this year than in the same period in 2016, Hug said. OSCE SMM employees have confirmed ten civilian fatalities in the Donetsk area alone over the past two weeks, he said.
