Putin makes no decisions yet on response to Polish law on demolishing Red Army monuments - Peskov

MOSCOW. July 25 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has not made and has not announced any decisions so far regarding possible measures against Warsaw in response to Poland's de-communization law, which envisages, among other steps, the demolition of Red Army monuments in the country, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday.

"The head of state, who determines the foreign policy of the Russian Federation under the constitution, has not made and has not announced any decisions so far," Peskov told reporters.

The Federation Council's relevant committees and commissions will continue to work on the chamber's initiative regarding measures in response to the aforementioned Polish law, he said.

"Let's first see any concrete formulations our senators are proposing," Peskov said.

The spokesman, however, declined to comment on the Kremlin's overall attitude to the idea of responding to Poland's actions.
